Marissa Nelson is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) and Sexuality Educator (CSE), TEDx Speaker, Entrepreneur and Media Contributor.  

Marissa is the creator of the globally lauded IntimacyMoons Couples Retreats serving Fortune 500 C-Suite clients for the past 10 years. Intimacymoons - comprising luxury private couples retreats, private online workshops, and sex therapy retreats -  have been cited by as one of the best couples therapy retreats worldwide by The New York Times, Fodor's Travel, Vice News and Travel Curator Magazine. Recognized internationally and featured in over 150 media outlets including The Wall Street Journal and Condé Nast.

In 2023, Marissa delivered the popular TEDx Talk and TED Editors Pick "We All Experience Sexual Rejection - and It's Not About Sex", and was selected as one of INNOVATE Washington’s Top 100 innovators.
